Description: No stalking required here, this beauty just happened to look up from his lunch the moment I stopped the car whilst driving through Glen Torridon, Northwest Scotland. Just loved how he blends in with the colours of the autumnal heather and bracken. Clear evidence that our spectacular wildlife is available to all !

Description: In my canoe I rounded the next corner and I saw them, they were standing on a tree over the river. As I came closer they flew off in a flash of blue. Andy came up, we rounded the corner and there they were again. I hastily got my camera out, took a few shots and then they were off round the next corner. We caught up again and they finally flew off over the steep banks of the river. Kingfishers, taken on a wee river near Dunbar http://www.electroniccottage.co.uk
