Benefits of advertising with us!
Unlike normal directories we are investing heavily into content which will attract and and keep visitors to the site who are interested in visiting Scotland. We know that most owners of accommodation or tourist businesses within Scotland are already on many directory listings of varying quality and substance. The fact is that you can never be on too many directories. Directories are a vital part of your websites search engine optimisation, the more pages that link back to you the more chance you have of being found. We feel though that the only directories worth being listed in are directories which allow a straight link back to your website.

Because we know how difficult it is to decide on where to advertise and how much tourist businesses in Scotland already spend to be part of accommodation directories like Visit Scotland and many others, we aim to keep our prices for inclusion as low as we possibly can. We do this because we want your business but we also want to make sure it is affordable AND beneficial to you.

More importantly though is how and where you advertise. Yes, the directory listing is important because many people will use that to drill down and find accommodation near where they want to visit, but to us our other advertising opportunities are much more useful, rewarding and interesting. These are the Search Engine inclusions and the links to your website within content on Search Scotland.

These content pages are the hub of the site and links within them will carry much more weight than the directory in terms of pagerank for your website. So it is important to have a directory listing, but probably more important to contribute interesting content which contains links back to your website.

Linking back to Search Scotland serves yourself too. The stronger the pagerank of Search Scotland the stronger the pagerank of the sites it links too. Please link back to us and inform us so we can update your points. You will get the most out of Search Scotland and in fact the internet by contributing. We will take care of the technical apsects, the administration and promotion of Search Scotland.
