Mellerstain House, home of the Earl and Countess of Haddington, is one of Scotland’s finest stately homes, and a truly unique example of Adam design.  Situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders, it was built in 1725 by William Adam, and completed by his famous son, Robert, between 1770 and 1778.  Mellerstain holds a treasure to see, including paintings, furniture and Robert Adam masterpieces.
