Sea Life Aquarium at Loch Lomond Shores

Having never been to any kind of aquarium before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, nor do I have anything to compare it to.  Saying that, we (my husband, the grandparents and I) and the kids had a great time at the Sea Life Aquarium at Loch Lomond. The outside of the building is stunning and the inside is clean and welcoming.  The kids were given Trumps cards and a quiz card upon entry, for which they could win a prize at the end if they won the Trumps game or finished the quiz, which consisted of questions and answers dotted around the centre.

The Drovers Inn

I’m a bit ashamed of the fact that I have lived in the west of Scotland for almost eight years and have only been to Loch Lomond three times. The third time was this past weekend while taking my American parents around to tour some of the famous Scottish sights.  We were recommended The Drovers Inn, so we drove down the full length of the beautiful loch to give it a try.

Loch Lomond Tour

Start from the Glasgow Area. The tour can be altered from a 2 day to a 1 day trip if required, but to truly experience the area that gave us the song “Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”, we would suggest the full 2 days.

Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond (pronounced /ˈloʊmənd/), (Scottish Gaelic Loch Laomainn) is a freshwater Scottish loch, lying on the Highland Boundary Fault. It is the largest loch/lake in Great Britain, by surface area, and contains many islands, including Inchmurrin, the largest fresh water island in the British Isles. It is a popular leisure destination and is featured in song.
