The Glasgow Science Centre and BodyWorks Exhibition
We had been meaning to visit the Glasgow Science Centre for quite a few weeks since hearing about the BodyWorks Exhibition that is currently showing there. In my youth I was a keen fan of the “How My Body Works” books and cartoons by Albert Barillé. I loved how Human Biology was explained in a way that I could understand it and it still inspires my interest today. For this reason I jumped at the idea of an interactive exhibition which has children and families at the centre of its teaching.

Tenement House
The Tenement House is a typical Victorian tenement flat of 1892, which retains many of its original fittings, such as gas lamps and the splendid kitchen range. Take a nostalgic step back in time!

Glasgow Riverside Museum
Last weekend we visited the newly opened Riverside Museum on the banks of the River Clyde. I was really impressed, the exhibitions are fantastic and are far more interactive than the previous Transport Museum. We took the children with and they had a great time using the touch screens to find out more about the vintage cars etc. The highlight for my son was the South African Steam Train. You can also venture onto the Tall Ship Glenlee (for a fee).
