We attended the National Museum of Flight for the February Fun in the Air event that ran between the 9th and 17th of February. It looked like a really great day out while the children were on their February break. We were very lucky with the day that we chose because we woke up on Friday morning to glorious sunshine. The weather we had previous to this was very temperamental with a heavy snowfall on Wednesday. Anyway, we packed the car full, got the kids ready and headed for the museum which is situated at the old East Fortune RAF Airfield.

Edinburgh Castle

If you’re going to visit Scotland, Edinburgh Castle is one of those places you simply have to visit.  It’s part of the touring Scotland experience.  I first visited the Castle on my first visit to Scotland in 2001 – eleven years ago at the time of this writing.  Since then, I have immigrated to Scotland and hosted many guests from America, and therefore, have also visited Edinburgh Castle with my guests many times.

Camera Obscura

Of all the things I didn’t know I was missing in life, Camera Obscura and World of Illusions in Edinburgh is currently Number One. I’d been told I should visit it a few years ago but never got around to it.  I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal.

Edinburgh Zoo 30 March 2012

On Friday the 30th of March we made our way over to Edinburgh to visit the Zoo. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the kids were struggling to contain themselves at the thought of seeing all the animals. We have been to the zoo many times before however this was going to be the first time we would see the two Giant Pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang.
