Image information
Description
Southerness lighthouse is located at the village of Southerness in South West Scotland. It is at present the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland. First lit C.1800 and decommissioned in 1936, the tower stands 17 meters high and would not be out of place in Pisa. Just visible in the distance is the wind farm situated in the Solway Firth.
